I receive few, if any, rental requests.
Are you not receiving any rental requests?
If you haven't received any requests in a while, several factors can affect the visibility of your listing. Here are our tips to increase your chances of getting new requests 👇
1️⃣ Update your listing regularly
The quality of your listing is essential for a good ranking in search results. The closer your quality score is to 100% , the more your listing will be featured.
Please ensure that all sections of your listing are complete (no exclamation marks). Roomlala sometimes adds new fields: remember to check regularly!
2️⃣ Check that your listing is active
Make sure your listing displays the status “Active” .
To check:
- Go to your personal space .
- Click on the “Hosting Space” tab.
- If the listing appears to be disabled, click the green “Activate” button.
3️⃣ Update your calendar
An up-to-date calendar helps your listing to rise in the results .
To update it:
- Access the edit section of your listing.
- Click on the “Calendar” section.
- Check your dates and then click on “My calendar is up to date” .
4️⃣ Review the rental periods
Avoid imposing overly restrictive minimum or maximum durations (e.g., a minimum of 3 months). This significantly reduces applications.
Many tenants prefer to start with a short stay, then extend it if everything goes well 🙂
And don't forget: you can always refuse a request without being penalized.
5️⃣ Add photos and a video
Make sure you have at least 4 photos and, if possible, a short video of the accommodation or room. This significantly boosts the visibility of your listing.
6️⃣ Determine a fair price
If you're unsure about the price, start by searching on Roomlala to compare rates for nearby accommodations. Then adjust your prices according to the market.
🙌 Roomlala 's tip
For new hosting providers, it's advisable to offer slightly lower-than-market prices initially. This will help you to:
- Get your first satisfied tenant
- Receive a positive review
- Improve the visibility of your listing
- And increase your prices more easily afterwards 🚀
