Check the status of your reservation
To check the status of your reservation, go to the Roomlala messaging system , to the conversation with your tenant.
Once the status is displayed, you can view its meaning below.
Reservation status
- To be confirmed: the host has accepted a request for information, but the tenant has not yet confirmed or paid.
- Pending: The tenant has sent an information request without confirming. The host may pre-accept, communicate with the tenant, or decline.
- Confirmed: payment has been made and the request accepted by the host, but the rental has not yet started.
- Refused: The host refused the request. The tenant was not charged.
- Expired: the hosting provider did not respond within 48 hours.
- Dispute: The tenant has declared a dispute.
- Cancelled: the tenant has cancelled their request for information or reservation.
- Cancelled by the host: the host has cancelled the reservation.
- Cancelled by the tenant: the tenant has cancelled the reservation.
- Completed: the rental has started or ended, and payment has been made to the host.
- Already rented: the tenant has found alternative accommodation for the chosen dates.
Understanding the consequences of your actions
Response rate
The faster and more positively you respond to requests, the more visibility your listing gains.
Failing to respond to messages from interested tenants can penalize you in search results.
Pre-acceptance
As a hosting provider, you can pre-accept or reject a request.
Pre-acceptance indicates that the accommodation is available on the requested dates and that the tenant can pay.
You can pre-accept multiple tenants at the same time. The first one to pay confirms the reservation.
Then remember to withdraw the pre-acceptance for the other candidates.
⚠️ Pre-acceptance does not guarantee a reservation. The tenant can still change their mind.
Do not manually block your calendar after a pre-acceptance, otherwise you will no longer receive new requests.
Refusal
You can decline a request if the profile or dates are not suitable.
If you change your mind, you can reopen the request and offer the accommodation again by clicking on the red "Edit dates / price" button.
Cancellation by the hosting provider
Cancelling a reservation can negatively impact your listing 's ranking in search results.
