Cancelling an ongoing rental in case of a dispute

You have until the day after your arrival (until 1 p.m.) to report a dispute.

This could relate, for example, to a non-compliance of the accommodation .

To complete the process, go to your email , click on the "Report a dispute" button, and then follow the instructions provided.

Cancel after the dispute reporting deadline

After this period, it is no longer possible to cancel the rental directly from the platform.

If you still wish to end your stay, you will need to reach a direct agreement with your host.

Reduce the duration of your rental

You can reduce the duration of your rental, within the limit of the period already prepaid on Roomlala.

To do this, access your rental schedule , available from the list of your rentals in your messaging.

Cancel or reduce a current rental

As a host, you cannot reduce an ongoing rental directly from Roomlala.

If you wish to shorten or end the stay, you must discuss this directly with the tenant in order to reach an amicable agreement .

Extend the rental period

However, you can extend an existing rental agreement .

Are you compensated in the event of early departure of the tenant?

If a rental agreement has been signed and it provides for one month's notice in case of early departure, the tenant will have to pay this month's notice from the date on which he informs you of his departure.

Roomlala does not provide any automatic compensation in case of early departure.

It is therefore important to include this clause when signing the contract.

Are you required to reimburse a tenant in the event of early departure?

If a tenant leaves the accommodation before the scheduled end date, you have no obligation to reimburse .

The accommodation having been booked and made available, you have honored your commitment and refused other requests for this period.

Therefore, you are entitled to keep the full rent.

However, if you wish to make a goodwill gesture and accept a partial refund, you are free to do so.

In this case, the transaction will have to be carried out directly between you and the tenant , without going through the Roomlala platform.
